Turkey Chili

Cool fall nights and football are what come to mind when I think of a warm bowl of chili however in my case it was exactly what a busy night called for. If you don’t already have this crockpot you should, it’s an all in one which minimizes clean-up time too. I was able to prep, cook and clean all before school drop off. Mornings like that make me feel like #supermom

I usually double the recipe because who doesn’t love leftovers or better yet a meal to freeze for later. The topping choices could be endless but I prefer sour cream, chopped onion and avocado.

Turkey Chilli Recipe

1.5-2lbs ground turkey 1 bell pepper (chopped) 1 medium onion (chopped) 1 can tomato sauce (8 oz) 2 cans Italian style tomatoes (14.5 oz) 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz) 1 can kidney beans (light) 1 can northern beans 2 tbs. chili powder 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper

Brown turkey and drain, sauté onion and bell peppers in olive oil. Combine in large pot. Add all other ingredients. Bring to a boil, then simmer and cover for 30 minutes to an hour. You can also combine all ingredients and leave in crockpot on low.

I linked the items in the picture above.
