For the last part of my Trader Joe’s Series I’m sharing some of my favorite healthy snacks.
In case you missed them earlier this week I shared both my Trader Joe’s grocery haul, and 5 easy dinner recipes.
On days where I’m working from home I tend to snack more. Maybe it’s boredom or just knowing that theres a pantry full of snacks a few steps away. So instead of ending up in the kids’ goldfish stash (I still love goldfish) I’ve come up with these few healthy snacks. All the ingredients used for these snacks can be found at your local Trader Joe’s.
Cucumber bites I find that if I have something cut up and ready to go I will make better choices. Each week we meal prep (LINK) and one of the veggies always available in my fridge are English cucumbers. I love these cucumbers sliced with a little whipped cream cheese and everything but the bagel seasoning. I swear this is so good that it satisfies my bagel cravings!
Avocado toast The sprouted bread from TJ’s is one of my favorites, perfect for toast, sandwiches, etc. For my avocado toast I just lightly toast one slice, use 1/4 of an avocado, add freshly squeezed lime juice, some S&P and some "Everything but the Elote Seasoning"! If I’m really hungry this will definitely fill me right up.
Veggies + Dip Along with my cut up cucumbers I always have plenty of celery on hand. The spinach and kale yogurt dip is so yummy and the veggies offer a great crunch. For the most part this can easily satisfy my cravings for chips and dip.
