Galentine's Brunch

I LOVE to entertain, in fact I would do it more if life wasn’t so darn busy.

It doesn’t take much for me to feel inspired to do something spontaneous. So after coming across some of the cutest Valentine decorations during a recent stop at Target I knew a party was in order.

Earlier this week I shared my Valentines Gift Guide post , I talked about celebrating the people in your life that you love. Maybe it’s your husband or significant other, maybe a girlfriend, or even your kiddos. Well today I’m hosting a few of my closest girlfriends for a Galentine’s Brunch.

By the time you read this my girlfriends will be long gone but I’m here to share all the details of the day.

The Centerpieces

My house is typically full of white hydrangeas but for today I went a little out of my comfort zone by adding a pop of pink. I love making floral arrangements, in fact I find it therapeutic. Check out this video on my grocery store floral arrangements.

I’m just using a simple 4 inch square glass vase like this one here. All my flowers are from Trader Joes.

These glass cylinder vases have gotten more use than you would ever imagine. I had them out throughout the holidays and here they are again. I filled them with conversation hearts and placed the floating candle on top.

Don’t be afraid to keep it easy with these disposable plates, just pair them with a great charger and your good to go!

What’s on the menu:

Keeping it simple, some of it was made from a local market and others I’m making at home. I think it’s all about presentation regardless of whats being served. This morning we had quiche, salad, heart waffles, chicken & fruit salads and croissants.

This salad is one of my favorites and super easy too. Just use some organic mixed greens, freshly cut strawberries, sliced red onion, and crumbled goat cheese and nuts. Serve with a poppy seed dressing.

For Dessert

Who doesn’t love fresh strawberries dipped in chocolate. Yum!

And as a last minute add I made this Valentine’s Bark, recipe coming tomorrow! The leftovers I put into little bags as a takeaway for my girls!

The Bar

It’s Friday after all and I had everything from sparkling lemonade and ice tea to Mimosas and Rose.

These adorable heart champagne flutes are from the Target dollar bin.
