Workout Legging Comparison Guide

Long before my blogging days and becoming a Realtor I co-owned and operated two local fitness franchises called Pure Barre. You may have heard of it or maybe even tried a class or two. Pure Barre is a barre based workout that I still love to this day. I not only taught the barre based workout but also had my hands in the retail aspect of it as well. In fact meeting with brand reps and going though line sheets was probably one of my favorite parts.

Back then Athleisure wear made up the greatest part of my wardrobe. Some of my favorite brands were LuluLemon, Beyond Yoga and Alo just to name a few. At the time it seemed like you really had to pay the big bucks to get what you wanted in workout clothes - both in style and quality. Today's post is going to prove that there are many other options available with pants ranging from $22 to $98.

Over the years my workouts have changed drastically. My Mon-Fri consists of more strength training workouts in the gym with bursts on cardio. On the weekends I try and fit in a yoga class as well. You can find out more about my weekly routine here.

So let’s start with my current go-to, shall we? If you're like me and feel completely overwhelmed with all the new styles at LuluLemon I’m here to tell you about the only pair of pants you will need from now on. Whether your a yoga or barre gal or doing HIIT classes these pants will keep everything perfectly in place. I own these Align pants in 3 different variations, they are perfectly high-waisted and not too cropped. Priced at $98 and for reference I am wearing a size 4.

I’m pairing my high-wasted pants with this white crop tank and while I realize this isn't for everyone it has quickly become my new favorite. Currently available but they sell out super fast. This top is from their new releases and for reference I’m wearing a size 6.

Not super excited about spending $100 for some workout pants? That’s fine I’ve got another great option for you. I ordered these leggings on a whim with no expectations. I wore them to a high intensity workout and they not only stayed in place but they reminded me of a similar pair I own that is four times the price. They are high-waisted and have side pockets on either side, perfect to slip your phone or credit card into.

Also pictured is another crop tank that I found, other than arriving pretty wrinkled it is super soft, lightweight and has a great price point under $15.

While I’m not a fan of working out in jogger pants (mostly for the lack of compression and support) I do love these for running errands, traveling or lounging around on the weekends. High-waisted seems to be the on going trend here and I’m totally fine with it. For reference I'm wearing a size 4.

Love working out in color? I adore this high-waisted Target find. If you're not familiar with the new Joy Lab line from Target you must check it out. These rib pants have a great stretch to them yet they still hold you in. I have worn these to both yoga and a strength training class. For reference I”m wearing a size small however I probably should have sized down further. They felt a little loose around the waist toward the end of my strength training class.

And before you ask let’s talk about my sneakers. While this leopard print is a new purchase for me I’m very familiar with these Adidas Swift Running Shoes. Perfect for both my strength training classes and running short distances. They run TTS and are under $100. Please note that while this leopard print is on backorder they came quicker than expected.

This post was really fun for me to do, and while it focuses mostly on pants I would love to do workout tops soon. Let me know if there is something else you would like me to review or compare!
